Model UN Conferences aim to expand cultural empathy and unite students from different countries all around the world. The primary goal of ISRAMUN 2010 is to give its participants the tools necessary to be a successful diplomat. With that in mind, we have designed a unique program: "Becoming a Diplomat". The program consists of three lectures:
· Negotiation and Decision Making
· War Ethics
· Public Diplomacy
Each one is a different field of diplomacy, but all are essential for the aspiring diplomat. Expert speakers in the relative field will conduct the lectures, and the program will conclude with a fun exercise.
At ISRAMUN, we believe that having fun is no less important than the academic aspects of our conference. Hence, during the conference, we encourage our participants to enjoy the rich culture, scenery and nightlife that Israel has to offer.
This year we chose to debate the various aspects of new war, under the theme:
The 21st Century – New Battlefields, New Dilemmas.
